Dennis da Silva
Dennis da Silva is well regarded as one of the few master photographic hand printers in South Africa, having worked in the darkroom for over 35 years. Silvertone, a photography and digital fine art printing studio, is run by da Silva; it prints many of South Africa’s leading artists work.
His passion encompasses both the historic processing techniques such as Salt, Cyanotype, Vandyke brown and the Kodak dye transfer process as well as embracing the latest technologies in digital prinitng. He has judicated and judged many international photographic competitions, such as the Sony World Photography awards. He also serves on the board for the Market Photographic Workshop.
